The Secrets of French Brunch Setting by Anna Denysova

This summer we propose to create a delightful table with the Brunch capsule collection from the French House – Baccarat. After all, brunch is always a good idea, it lifts your spirits and allows you to have fun with your beloved ones.

The collection brings together the new SWING line and the classic collections of the brand – Mille Nuits, Massena and Harcourt – and allows you to create endless combinations and mixes.

The most important aspect of the collection is versatility. Each item is not designed for one specific use: it can be safely combined with other collections, as well as change the purpose depending on the serving. Thanks to this, all elements adapt to different cultural contexts – be it Europe, Asia or America.

So, a set of two crystal stands for bamboo sticks can be used as a stand for knives or soup spoons.

The main novelty within the collection is the SWING collection. The design is a combination of straight, sharp cuts and smooth rounded lines. If you look at the objects from above, you can see the outlines of the opened rosebud.

The collection includes crystal bowls that can be used for sauces as well as nuts or sweets, a classic French bread plate and a dinner plate for desserts or snacks.

The set is complemented by egg holders from the classic Harcourt line. The shape of the items is inspired by the historic goblet, which has been produced by the brand since 1841. There is also versatility here: this serving item can be used as a liqueur glass or a spice stand or even jewelry.

Or you can enjoy an à la francaise egg during breakfast or brunch, using the item for its intended purpose. The same Harcourt design also features new crystal candlesticks, inspired by the austere look of 18th century silver chandeliers – the time of Louis XVI.

Another update to the classic line of the Baccarat brand is the Massena glass. The new glass is the largest in the collection: its appearance resembles a trophy cup. It was conceived as a large water glass, which has enough space for ice – in American style. But it can also be used for serving desserts, fruits or ice cream.

The latest addition – the New Antique fruit bowl in white, continuing the collaboration between Baccarat and Dutch designer Marcel Wanders. This is a volumetric crystal bowl on a marble base, the design of which combines antiquity and modernity. Each vase is numbered and signed by the designer.
