Here are tips for safely prolonging the life of your Bernardaud candle:<\/p>\n
– The first time you burn your candle, allow it to burn for at least one hour until the whole top is liquid with wax, then 2 or 3 hours on future uses.<\/p>\n
– Trim the wick regularly – by shortening the wick you allow it to burn more slowly and avoid unsightly black smoke marks around the edge of the porcelain. After blowing out your candle, re-center and straighten the wick.<\/p>\n
– Choose an area free from drafts and do not move your candle while it is lit to avoid uneven burning.<\/p>\n
